The house in "Wahlenstraße 1" has for many generations been owned by the Regensburg merchants of the Schindlmeier family. For almost a dozen years this historical building has been home to our charming "Petit Hotel Orphée". It is not just us and our many guests who have taken a liking to this cozy place. Have a look at what a writer for the Swiss magazine "DU", a magazine for literature and culture, reported in the September 2004 issue: "The highlight of the weekend was the night spent in the Hotel Orphée: you pick up the key in the restaurant, as the hotel does not have a reception desk. All 15 rooms are furnished in a most individual style: antique wash stands, turkish tiles; in one of the rooms the bath is hid behind a cabinet door. The prettiest hotel of Regensburg is like a mirror-image of the town: quite inviting and ever familiar with the charm of by-gone days."
